The Republican primary is the gift that keeps on giving for the Barack Obama Presidential re-election team. Somewhere in Chicago, there is a bulletin board full of Republican gaffes in debates and media appearances. The real problem facing the Obama re-election team at this point? Is the bulletin board big enough?
Mitt Romney delivered a gem today, while talking to the folks at CNN. And it has conservatives in full blown damage control mode today.
“I’m not concerned about the very poor, we have a safety net there” – Mitt Romney to a CNN Reporter
So, lets recap here. Mitt Romney pays a lower tax rate than you and I. He ties his dog to the top of his car for 12 hour family road trips. He touts his record as a job creator from his time at a business that shuttered businesses and made millions doing so.
And now, coming out of one of the harshest recession this country has ever seen, he admits he isn’t concerned for the poor? And since 99% of this country makes less money than Mitt Romney, wouldn’t that be just about all of us?
How anyone can see Mitt Romney as a “fresh alternative” is beyond me.
